Brad Miller has been a member of NLC for 35 years and has been teaching here for 34 of those years. His favorite book of the bible is 1 Peter. He loves that it contains so much Practical direction for the lives we are to lead in Christ, all anchored by the command from chapter 2:25, “But like the Holy One who called you is holy, be holy yourself also in your behavior”.

For a favorite scripture, Brad likes David’s exhortation to his people to “Trust in the Lord and do good” (psalms 37:3). To Brad, it is a clear and comprehensive guidepost for living out his Christian life.

I have been part of the New Life Church teaching team since 1999. I have been a member here since the church’s inception, around 1986. I was part of the founding group of believers that started NLC. As far as my favorite book of the bible to teach, I would have to say Ephesians is my favorite, although my favorite passage of scripture is found in the book of Romans, Rom. 5:1-5. These verses clearly explain what we have in Jesus Christ and our relationship with God and His Holy Spirit all of which has been paid for through the blood Jesus shed on the cross for His people.

Ray has been a member of New Life Church for 38 years. His favorite book of the bible is Ephesians, he says “because of its description and direction for the church – the body of Christ. Ray’s favorite bible passage comes from this same book: Ephesians 4:4-6. He relates “Because this tells me that the people of God are supernaturally joined together as ONE. And I get to live out that reality”.
